9100 | Universal Acrylic Topcoat

Universal Acrylic Topcoat is a high solids water based acrylic topcoat designed for various interior wood substrates. Typical uses include shutters, trim, doors, moldings, and furniture. Designed for maximum performance when used in conjunction with 9560 primer. Typical application is one to two coats depending on quality desired and substrate preparation. Dry times can easily be accelerated with the use of heat and air movement achieving a sandable finish in only minutes. Compatible with most finishing systems and equipment types, hand spray or automated.

Application Method

1. Prep. Sand
150-220 grit Aluminum Oxide Sand paper (for wood surfaces, this is not
necessary for MDF or Hardboard)

2. Seal
Apply 3-5 wet mils of 9560 primer according to product specifications.

3. Sand
Sand the primed surface with 180-220 grit Aluminum Oxide Sand paper.

4. Seal(optional)
Apply 3-5 wet mils of 9100 topcoat as a sealer for porous surfaces such as oak to help fill the grain. When the surface is completely dry, repeat step 3.

5. Topcoat
Apply 3-5 wet mils of 9100. Repeat steps 3 and 5 for additional build and protection.
